Tyler James William Louia's Obituary
Tyler James William Louia, age 15, of Harbeson, DE passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. He was born on April 9, 2003 in Annapolis, MD, son of James W. and Catherine Louia.
Tyler played several different sports with the Special Olympics Sussex Riptide and met many friends there that he loved. He enjoyed working at all his vocational sites but especially the soup kitchen. Tyler had the biggest heart and loved everyone he met. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and playing video games. Tyler's autism never held him back, he could conquer anything he put his mind to with the help of his family, friends, teachers, and classmates.
Tyler had the greatest love for his home which held all of his favorite things: his man cave for "chillin" and "relaxin", his video games which allowed him an escape for creativity, expression and happiness, his kitchen where the best "cooker" made his best lasagna, his puppies who gave him never ending joy and always made him smile, and lastly his family. Tyler's incredible love for his mama showed only a glimpse of their unbreakable, one of a kind bond. Her "little buddy" and his "bestest friend" spent every day smiling, laughing, singing, cooking, and enjoying every moment possible. Tyler was his dad's little side kick. They enjoyed breakfast every Sunday at 7 AM sharp. They were handymen together, working on cars and other projects. Tyler loved watching Ghost Rider, AKA "creepy man" with his dad and enjoyed just relaxing together. Tyler looked up to his big sister Caitlin who he loved hanging out with and borrowing all of her stuff. His humor and connection with her were strong and he will be greatly missed. The memories created within these walls will be painted upon us forever.
Tyler was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Demas; his paternal grandfather, James "Sonny" Louia; and two Uncles: Curtis Demas and Robert Louia. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Virginia Demas of Lewes, DE; one sister, Caitlin Louia of Harbeson, DE; two aunts: Shirley Rye and her husband Greg of Millsboro,DE and Valerie Demas of Hanover, PA; one uncle, Jeff Demas of Eldersburg, MD; his best bud, Darrian Brooks of Millsboro, DE; his cousins: Rev. Joachim Cotsonis, Lucas Demas and his wife Michelle, Mikki Demas, Kenzi Demas, Joey Demas, Jason Demas, Jeffrey Demas, Amy Nicole Demas, Jessica Reyes, Bradon Reyes, and Liam Reyes; the entire Ratliff family who were also his family and held a special place in his heart; his beloved dog Bonnie Lou who was his Boxer and best friend; as well as the teachers and staff at the Sussex Consortium who he held a special place in his heart for.
