Timothy Joseph O'Neill's Obituary
Timothy Joseph O'Neill, 63, passed away peacefully at his home in Lewes, DE, on August 15, 2025. Born on April 12, 1962, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Joseph O'Neill and the late Ann O'Neill.
Timothy was a talented landscape artist and gifted cartoonist whose creativity and sense of humor brought joy to many. Known for his lifelong devotion to the Washington Redskins and his love of art, he blended visual storytelling with natural comedic flair, making him a recognizable and beloved figure in his community.
His love of animals was unmatched—especially cats. He even created his own “cat language,” and any dog lucky enough to spend time with him gained extra weight from his generous treats and attention. Though he was small in stature—a running joke he embraced—his heart was truly larger than life. Timothy delighted in making people laugh, whether it was through goofy faces, impromptu silly dances in public (much to the embarrassment of his kids), or his warm, quick wit that lit up any room.
He is survived by his son, Brian O'Neill, and daughter Jaquelyn O'Neill, both of Lewes, DE, and daughter Nicole O'Neill of Hampton, VA; his granddaughter, Lilith Penelope Heron; his father, Joseph O'Neill; and his sisters, Mary O'Neill-Wood ( Joshua), Margaret "Peggy" O'Neill, and Katie O'Neill, and countless cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann O'Neill.
Timothy’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and laughter lives on through his family and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Parsell Funeral Homes – Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
