Timothy W. Knox's Obituary
Timothy W. Knox, Sr. of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 17, 1945, in Upland, PA, son of the late Harold and Esther (Walker) Knox.
Mr. Knox was a proud member of the United States Army, where he served 2 tours in Vietnam. After 30 years of service to his country, he retired as a Master Sergeant E-8. His career also included 31 years as a Signal Maintainer for Norfolk-Southern Railroad. Mr. Knox enjoyed collecting model trains, working on them in his garage, and socializing about his passion with friends at the local hobby shop. Most of all Mr. Knox loved his family and the time they spent together.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Knox was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Knox. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Francine L. (Anseaume) Knox; two sons: Timothy W. Knox, Jr. and Francis L. Knox both of Lewes, DE; one daughter, Allison S. Knox of Milford, DE; one granddaughter, Taylor Knox of Seaford, DE; two grandsons Zane Knox and Chase Knox both of Seaford, DE; two sisters, Joanne Chiappetta of Lewes, DE and Eileen Dawson of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and one brother, Leonard Knox of Chester, PA.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Tunnell Cancer Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
