Timothy Andrew Kirkpatrick's Obituary
Timothy A. Kirkpatrick, 71, passed away at his Milton home on December 11, 2013.
Tim graduated from Rehoboth High School in 1960. He served in the army from 1966 to 1968, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. After three decades working at Dupont, Tim retired in 1991 as a senior design engineer for instrumentation. Tim furthered lifelong passions in retirement, traveling worldwide with his wife Carol, entertaining friends, fishing, and hunting. He also discovered the joy of reading and became an avid fan of mystery novels.
Tim is predeceased by his beloved wife of 42 years, Carol Thompson Kirkpatrick; his sister Kathy Charles, of Wilmington; and his brother Terry Kirkpatrick, of Rehoboth Beach. He will be greatly missed by his brother Barney Kirkpatrick, of Rehoboth Beach; his sister Cindy Kirkpatrick, of Wilmington; his sister-in-law Frances McKenna, of Wilmington; his nephew Casey Charles, of Seattle, WA; and his niece and great-nephew, Tammy and David Cook, of Chadds Ford, PA.
A private service is planned. In lieu of flowers, kindly send contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriot's Way, Milford, DE 19963.
