Thomas Lionel Honaker's Obituary
Thomas Lionel Honaker, age 66 of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Christiana Hospital, in Newark, DE. He was born on August 15, 1957, in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Ewell and Eleanor Honaker.
Tom’s lifelong fascination with cars started as a boy. It grew into a career as an auto-mechanic, culminating in the ownership of a business in which he took great pride. Tom had a passion for muscle cars. He enjoyed attending shows and seeing the different makes and models, body styles and horsepowers. His favorite always remained the 1969 Chevy Z28. More than anything, Tom was a family man. His children always took priority, and everything he did was to make a better life for his wife and kids. Once his grandchildren came along, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Loved by all, he will be forever missed.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Chris Peeples. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Honaker of Millsboro; his children: Jessica Badolato (Mike) of Springfield, PA, Laura Bothel (Tyler) of Norfolk, VA, and Daniel Honaker (Lauren) of New Freedom, PA; his grandchildren: Leah Honaker, Lillian Honaker, Camila Badolato, and Oliver Bothel; his brother, Mason Honaker (Sandy) of NC; his sisters: Brenda Peeples of VA and Karen Honaker of NJ; his mother-in-law, Margaret DeLuca; and his loyal canine companions: Daisy and Hank.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 3:30 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 2:00 PM.
