I’ve just learned of Tom’s (and saw mention of his dad’s) passing and I’m a bit shocked and VERY sorry. I lost touch with Tom after college, but I still treasure our friendship and feel he was taken far too soon. I’m finding it hard to believe he’s gone. Just two months ago I thought of calling him for his birthday - I just had no idea. Mrs. Gile, thank you very much for allowing us to hang out so much, that your house was basically a second home to me. He introduced me to so much music, all of which I still enjoy 35 years later, and still think of him when I hear certain pieces. He was a great friend, piano player, dancer and in general, a fun, yet serious person. We had MANY hours of intense and good conversations. Our close friendship in middle school, HS and early college is something I will always appreciate. Thank you again for your open house, being trusting and allowing us to spend SO many hours together. I miss him.
