Thomas Denver's Obituary
Thomas Denver, 79, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2023, in Lewes, DE. Born on September 24, 1944, in Abingdon, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary (Tracy) Denver.
Thomas graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force. After serving his country, Thomas the entrepreneur opened his own business. He married the love of his life Cecilia and together they raised their daughter Maureen.
Thomas was an avid reader and collector, building an amazing book and coin collection. As an excellent conversationalist he would love to tell stories, building the fervor as he spoke to all who would listen. Thomas loved being with his family and friends, no one was ever a stranger. But mostly You would often find him beside his beloved wife and family, beaming with pride at the ultimate source of his joy, his beloved grandchildren. Thomas will be forever missed by those who were blessed to have known him.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his sister Mary Lou Winkler and his brother Bob Denver. Thomas is survived by his wife Cecilia, his daughter: Maureen Barnes (Chris), and his grandchildren: Madison (fiancé Gabriel Liegey), Peyton and Owen Barnes.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 7, 2023, at11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM.
