Thomas Bush's Obituary
Thomas W. Bush, Mr., age 84, of Lewes, DE died Friday, October 14, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Bush was born in Millsboro, DE, son of the late Charles H. and Clara (Bryan) Bush.
He was a farmer his entire life, most recently with Townsend's of Georgetown, for approximately 20 years. He was a member of the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church of Midway. Mr. Bush was an avid gardner and fisherman, a very caring person and was devoted to his family. He had served in the U. S. Army during WWII.
Mr. Bush is survived by his wife of 62 years Grace R. (Sockriter) Bush; a daughter, Patricia (Bush) McNatt of Smyrna, DE; two sons, Thomas D. Bush of Lewes and Virgil Bush of Spanoway, WA; two brothers, Leroy Bush of Lewes, DE and Howard Bush of Georgetown, DE; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by a daughter Julia Ann Pavalis in 1978, and a brother Charles Bush in 2005.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, De where funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 18, 2005 at 2:00 P.M, with Chaplain Mel Kirk of Compassionate Care Hospice officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Henlopen Memorial Park, Route 1, near Milton, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Gull House, 38149 Terrace Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
