Thelma E. Brown's Obituary
Thelma E. Brown, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at the age of 97 in Lewes, DE. Born on December 9, 1927, in Wilmington, DE, she lived a life marked by generosity and joy.
Thelma's legacy is carried on by her loving daughters, Donna Friswell of Florida, Andrea Downs of Georgetown, DE, and Vicki Fahey (Joseph) of Newark, DE. She was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren and doted on her nine great-grandchildren, with the one more on the way. Thelma was predeceased by her devoted husband, Roy, her parents, Joseph and Florence Bryan, and her sister, A. Louise Charles.
During her career, Thelma served as the head teller at Delaware Trust, where her warm demeanor was appreciated by all. Her passions included golfing, crafting, and fishing, activities through which she formed lasting friendships and memories. Thelma will be remembered as a loving, kind, and generous soul who enriched the lives of those around her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Bethel United Methodist Church 129 W 4th St. Lewes, DE where visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 PM.
