Teddie Johnson's Obituary
Teddie Johnson, aged 76, of Greenwood, DE, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024. He was born on February 3, 1948, in Jennings, LA, son of the late Iry and Aselina Johnson.
Mr. Johnson graduated from St. Martinsville High School in 1966. He joined the Army in 1967 and served with distinction until 1974, that same year he married the love of his life Virginia. In addition to serving his country he also pursued career interests as a car mechanic and satellite technician. Mr. Johnson had varied interests and hobbies among them were grilling, camping, gardening and spending time with family and friends. He was extremely loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Johnson and daughter Cheryl Dodgson. He is survived by his daughters Nancy Signs of Kentucky and Barbara Burdette of Greenwood, DE; grandsons Bill Dennis (Kim) of Greenwood, DE, Eric Burdette (Wendy) of Bridgeville, DE, Shane Burdette (Mindy) of Salisbury, MD, Joey Burdette (Emmalee) of Laurel, DE; great-grandchildren Billy Dennis of Greenwood, DE, Spencer Burdette (Oksana) of Newport News, VA, Colton Burdette and Kinslee Burdette of Laurel, DE; great- great grandchildren Drake Dennis and Peyton Dennis of Greenwood, DE.
