Rest in Peace dearest Tana. I met the irrepressible Tana and her beloved husband Bernie and Gilmore family when I became friends with Bernie's late brother Matthew. Matthew passed away on July 26, the same day as Tana in 1988. Matt and I became close friends when Matt moved to London Terrace where i still live. Tana was a beautiful, endearing women with a lovely smile, kind heart with an outgoing and loving personality. Berne and I kept in touch with me over the years. My deepest condolences to Tana's beloved husband Bernie, their sons Bernie, Steve and Chris and her grandchildren and great grandchildren -- and Tana's countless friends . We will miss you, beautiful, gracious

Bernie and Tana were such a connected couple - you could see them chattering as they walked daily, gazing at each other. They were the ultimate hosts, first ones to invite us into their home for dinner and seek out a weekend that we would be in town to do so. Her loving, joyful spirit was contagious - I'd see her coming and be lifted. I admired how she dug into so many worthy causes, was a delicious chef and had an impeccable home. Our community will be forever changed because of her generosity.

I remember when my daughter lived with me one summer and helped at VBS and when we attended the volunteer dinner I looked into the full room and of course, the only people I knew were the Gilmore's including their visiting Floridian grandkids! She never used guests as a reason not to give of herself. God bless you as your mourn and thank you for sharing her with us, Eileen
