Susan T. Lewis' Obituary
Susan Lewis, a beacon of kindness and an advocate for the environment, passed away at the age of 66, on October 5, 2024, in Bethany Beach, DE. Born on May 20, 1958, in Washington DC, to her late parents, Manuel and Connie Torregrosa, Susan was a person defined by her loving nature, gentleness, and kindness.
A proud graduate of Virginia Tech, Susan dedicated an impressive 38 years of her life to the Environmental Protection Agency, where her commitment to preserving nature's beauty was evident to all who knew her. Upon her retirement, she remained active in the community as a faithful member of St. Ann Catholic Church and the St. Vincent DePaul society in Bethany Beach.
Susan's love story with her beloved husband, John O’Lewis, was a testament to her loving spirit. Together, they shared countless adventures, hiking the great outdoors with their cherished Labrador retrievers, a shared passion that only deepened their connection.
She leaves behind her caring husband, John, and her brothers, David, Paul, and John, as well as her sisters, Ann and Joan. Susan also leaves a legacy of love with her many nieces and nephews, who will continue to cherish her memory.
Susan's essence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission Church 35318 Zion Church Rd, Frankford, DE 19945.
