Susan C. Kidd's Obituary
Susan Kidd, age 57, of Lewes, DE, passed away Tuesday, May 27, at her residence after an eight year battle with Shy-Drager Syndrome. She was born July 23, 1950 in Lewes, daughter of Phillip I. and Sarah (Carpenter) Cunningham.
Sue and her husband returned to Lewes in 2000 moving from Summerville, PA. While living in Pennsylvania, she was a member of Strattanville United Methodist Church where she enjoyed working with children. Upon her return to Delaware, she became a member of Lewes Presbyterian Church. Sue always enjoyed the beach. Her life was dedicated to creating a loving home for her husband and three children. Her unwavering strength and courage came from her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the love of her family. Sue was an inspiration to everyone whose lives she touched.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 35 years Raymond H. Kidd; a daughter, Lindsey E. Kidd; two sons, Brian M. Kidd and his wife Erin and Richard N. Kidd, all of Lewes; four brothers, Michael Cunningham and his wife Beverly of Lewes, Rodney Cunningham and his wife Carolyn of Boca Raton, FL, Paul Cunningham of Lewes and Jack Cunningham and his wife Cindy of Lewes; two sisters, Sally C. Hrycyk and her husband John of Boca Raton, FL and Carol Brown and her husband Gerry of Milford, DE.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 3:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call beginning at 1:00 PM. Pastor Harry Hughes will be officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Lewes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lewes Presbyterian Church Restoration Fund, P.O. Box 612, Lewes, DE 19958 or to Shy-Drager Syndrome Support Group, Inc., P.O. Box 279, Coupland, TX 78615.
