Sue T Cunningham's Obituary
Sue T. Cunningham, age 79 of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Millsboro, DE. Born in Clarksburg WV on December 11, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harry Eugene and Irene Amelia (Strother) Traugh.
A resident of Lewes, DE for the past 17 years, Sue was originally from Clarksburg WVA. She had a Bachelors Degree from West Virginia University, where she attended with her husband, and taught public and parochial high school. She was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority and the president of the Angola by the Bay Women's Club. She was also a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Lewes.
She is survived by her husband Russell Wood Cunningham of Lewes, three sons, Jeffery R. Cunningham of Richmond, VA, David C. Cunningham and Barbara of McKinney, TX and Gregory B. Cunningham and Ally of Jessup, MD., four granddaughters, Lauren R. Cunningham and Patrick Headly of Richmond, VA, Kelli N. Cunningham of McKinney , TX, Kimberly C. and Jeff Travis of McKinney, TX and Erin L. Cunningham of Jessup, MD, three grandsons, Sean C. Cunningham of Richmond, VA, Tyler Charles Cunningham of McKinney, TX and Ryan R. Cunningham of Jessup, MD and two great grandchildren, Colton J. and Jordan E. Travis of McKinney, TX.
A Celebration of Sue's life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 Fourth Street, Lewes, DE with the Reverend Fred Duncan Officiating. A fellowship reception with light food and beverages will follow from 3:00 to 4:30pm in the fellowship hall in the Church.
Interment at a later date will be private.
