Stephen Michael Griffis' Obituary
Stephen Michael Griffis, Sr., age 75, of Langhorne, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at his daughter's home. He was born on March 1, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Horace George and Florence (Glasby) Griffis.
Mr. Griffis enjoyed a lifelong career as the owner and operator of a dental sales and service business. He loved traveling worldwide, fishing, bird watching and woodworking. He was a kind and generous man, who always had a story or two to share about his many travels with his family and friends. Over the years, he owned many dog and cat companions that he enjoyed caring for.
Mr. Griffis loved his family especially spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for being a devoted father, grandfather, brother and a dear friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Griffis was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Carol Griffis and his brother, George and sister-in-law, Joan Griffis and a sister, Diane Hargrove. He is survived by his life partner, Rita Allard of Langhorne, PA; a daughter, Linda Anagnostakos and her husband Dr. Harry of Rehoboth Beach, DE; two sons: Stephen M. Griffis, Jr. and his wife Kim Joyce of Milton, DE; Michael Christopher Griffis of Rehoboth Beach, DE; two grandsons: Matthew and Alex Anagnostakos both of Rehoboth Beach, DE; two granddaughters: Melissa Anagnostakos of Philadelphia, PA and Caroline Joyce Griffis of Milton, DE; a step son, Mark Allard of Langhorne, PA; a sister, Valorie Griffis Stein of Bensalem, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
