Stephen Kasperski's Obituary
Stephen Kasperski, age 74, of Georgetown, DE, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in New York City, NY, on Monday, March 20, 1944, son of the late Stanley Kasperski and Charlotte (Wurmsen) Rovito.
Mr. Kasperski worked in retail sales for twenty-seven years across New Jersey before starting a second career in real estate. Mr. Kasperski was an active member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church and church choir. He was an elder of the church and served as Clerk of Session. Service oriented his whole life, Mr. Kasperski worked tirelessly for the Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club; a past president, member of the board of directors and Rotarian of the Year.
Mr. Kasperski was a sports fanatic and especially loved cheering on the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed spending his time furthering his knowledge of his faith. He was a man of strong faith and led by great example for all. Mr. Kasperski was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Kasperski is survived by his loving wife of thirty-one years, Betty; his daughter, Lisa Bulger and her husband Bobby of Cranford, NJ; his son, Peter Tourian and his wife Ana of West Orange, NJ; his six grandchildren: Joshua, Michelle, Aubrey, Micayla, Emma and Luke; his brother, Peter Kasperski and his wife Terry of Edison, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Georgetown Presbyterian Church, 203 N. Bedford Street, Georgetown, DE 19947, where friends may visit beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Kasperski’s name to the Georgetown Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund at P.O. Box 46, Georgetown, DE 19947 or to the Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club, P.O. Box 164, Georgetown, DE 19947.
