Stephen A. Grady's Obituary
Stephen A. Grady of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Miami Beach, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.
He graduated from Georgetown University where he majored in French, and continued his education and earned his Master’s degree in Linguistics from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Being fluent in French and German, Stephen worked for TESOL, Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages and went on to co-own and manage the Lord and Hamilton Seaside Inn in Rehoboth Beach.
Stephen was a voracious reader, enjoyed learning other languages, and world travel. He was religious, kind and gentle. He enjoyed tennis and swimming, and was an avid runner, having run cross-country for Georgetown University and the Marine Corps Marathon several times.
Stephen was dearly loved by his family and his partner. He is survived by his parents of Topsfield, MA, five brothers and sisters, as well as his partner of twenty years, Robert C. Thompson, Jr. of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Miami Beach, FL.
Services were held.
