To know Steve is to love him. When you saw him and he happened to grace you with his presence was a sublime and truly beautiful experience. Steve’s gentleness, the kindness in his voice, and the look in his eyes would take you to a place where you felt the warmth of his love. And, in that same breath, all along you were bathed in the magesty of his mission, that footprint he left behind for all of us to follow .... to be mindful of how we treat one another and be who you are and live in peace to make the world a better place. Steve gave us Camp Rehoboth as a vehicle to carry on his extraordinary legacy for acceptance and ‘room for all’ peoples. But for me, I will surely miss looking into those eyes of his. I felt safe and special and I will always want him back here in the flesh for some more. I am thankful that Steve will not suffer any more with his courageous fight to save his life with ALL the medical treatments he went through. I know he is at peace now and I will always carry him in my heart and will continue to do my best for others any way that I can.
