Stanley S. Springer's Obituary
Stanley Sigmund Springer, age 80, of Ocean View DE, passed away at home Sunday, July 6, 2008. Born September 22, 1927 in Reading Pa, he was the son of the late John L. Springer, and the late Blanche (Smolen) Springer.
Stan served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Pennsylvania State Police after 29 years as an officer. He loved to fish and kept busy doing odd jobs and repairs to his home and boats.
Stan is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Wendy King and her husband, Scott, of Reading Pa; son, Mr. Keith Springer, and his wife Linda, of Lancaster Pa; and two sisters; Mrs. Adeline Hartman of Reading Pa, and Mrs. Florence Szmurlo of Baltimore Md. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Kristy and Clint Bomberger, Jessica and Kelly Springer; and five great-grandchildren; Alexis, Bryson, Ashlyn, Clayton, and Jocelyn. Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Springer, on January 29, 2008.
