Stanley J. Sage's Obituary
Stanley J Sage , age 81, of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Perry Point VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, Perry Point, MD, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in East Orange, NJ, on Monday, January 20, 1930, son of the late Joseph and Rose (Cherubin) Sajewicz.
Mr. Sage served in the US Army, during the Korean Conflict, in Germany and attended Upsala College and the University of Maryland. He was a member of the American Legion Post# 28, Oak Orchard, VFW Post # 7447, NARFE, APWU and a parishioner of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church of Millsboro. He retired from the US Postal Service, Rehoboth Beach Office and was a seasonal meter technician for the city of Rehoboth Beach.
Mr. Sage is survived by his loving wife of forty one years, Elizabeth "Betty" (Reynolds) Sage, one daughter; Gail A. Kelly, and her husband John of Mount Holly, NJ, two grandchildren; Christopher Kelly and his wife Wendy and Alicia Givey and her husband Ryan and four great grandchildren; Summer, Makensy and Faith Kelly and Seamus Givey.
Friends may call at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 28, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mount Joy Road, Millsboro, DE.
Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
