Stacy Martin's Obituary
Stacy Lynn Martin-Donovan, age 34, of Nassau, DE went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 25, 2006, at Johns Hopkins Medical Center, Baltimore, MD, where she had been a patient since January 1, 2006. Stacy died from complications of Juvenile Diabetes which she had suffered with since the age of 9. Stacy was born December 1, 1971, daughter of William and Connie Sue Martin who preceded her in death.
She was a former member of the Lewes Fire Department and the Women of the Moose Chapter 1814.
Stacy is survived by her husband of 14 years, Richard E. Donovan; her Godson, Gordon Douglas Holmes of New Castle, DE whom she helped to raise; her sister Mary Ann Greve and husband Bob; three brothers: William Martin and his wife Kathy of Christiana; John Martin of Denton, MD and Bob Johnson and his wife Joan of Elkton, MD; her Aunt, Linda McKendrick and family; her mother-in-law Phyllis A. Donovan, with whom she lived, and other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday March 5, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Charlie Arnold will officiate. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Georgetown, DE.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research at Johns Hopkins Childrens Center, 100 N. Charles St., Suite 200, Baltimore, MD 21201; Attn: Lavern Lowery; or to the Building Fund of Seaside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 443, Lewes, DE 19958.
