Spencer Sage Ashing's Obituary
Spencer Sage Ashing, age 19, of Milton, DE, died tragically in February, 2010. He was born in Lewes Delaware on Thanksgiving, Nov. 22, 1990 son of Peg Ashing of Milton, DE. Spencer had attended H.O. Brittingham Elementary School, Milton Middle School, and was currently attending the Cape Henlopen High School. Before he could walk he spent much time in pools, the Delaware Bay or the Atlantic Ocean at the Cape. He was an avid reader and movie buff, accomplished guitar player, and enjoyed spending time writing lyrics and drawing. He aspired to be an artist someday. He had a beautiful smile and loved to make people laugh. A free spirit, his beliefs were Peace, Love and Karma. Spencer’s wishes would be that his friends find a path and follow their dreams.
In addition to his mother and her good friend Joe Engers, Spencer is survived by his second mom, Aunt Jennifer Weaver and her husband Ken of Wilmington. ; cousin and best friend Jennie Sutton and her husband Rod and their children Jenna and Jason of Wilmington, DE; Cousin Fred Palmer and his wife Vlora and their daughter Lily of Wilmington, DE; an uncle, Walter Ashing and his wife Dona of Wilmington, DE; and friends Sherman Carter, Jiho Jung, Ryan Pedrick and many more.
Spencer was preceded in death by Grandmom and grandpop Margaret and Fred Ashing; his uncle Federick Ashing, and his good friend and godfather Dennis Reardon.
The family would like to express their thanks for the many prayers and thoughts by friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 06, 2010, at 3:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE., where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jusst Sooup Ministry, 17256, Queen Anne Way, Lewes, DE 19958, or your favorite charity, or just volunteer and lend a hand to someone in need.
