Sonja Louise Thomas' Obituary
Sonja Louise Thomas, age 77, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, in Philadelphia, PA. She was born Tuesday, August 29, 1939 in Lewes, DE, to Russell L. Cooper and Louise E. (Elias) Cooper.
Mrs. Thomas was the owner and operator of Miles Tile Company in Lewes, DE for many years. She also worked at Harbor Healthcare and was a Certified Nurse’s Aide for Lewes Convalescent Center. In her spare time she loved to draw.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her first husband William C. Carmean, her second husband, William Miles and her brother, Fred. She is survived by her daughter, Grace Ann Morris and her husband Dean of Georgetown, DE; her grandchildren: Carlton R Adams, III (Ashley), William J Adams (Kristel) and numerous step-grandchildren; her great grandchildren: Landon, Carlton, IV and William, Jr. and numerous step-great grandchildren; her brothers Russell and Joseph; and her sisters: Adel, Rachel, Maude and Maryann.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may call beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the services at Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Road, Milton, DE.
