Shirley L. Rollison's Obituary
Shirley L. Rollison, age 79, of Lewes, DE passed away suddenly on Monday, October 11, 2010 at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was born August 15, 1931 in Battle Creek, MI, daughter of the late Houston Carlson and Flora Mary (McIntosh) Carlson Sidlukas.
Mrs. Rollison and her husband relocated to Delaware in 2002 from Fairfax, VA. Shirley loved playing the slots in Harrington and betting on the horses. She also loved to shop. She was a member of the American Legion Post #28, Woman's Auxiliary.
In addition of her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Charles Sidlukas, her brother Donald Carlson and son-in-law, Tom Blackwell.
She is survived by her husband Owen Stanley Rollison; three daughters: Vickie Roach (Gary), Laurie Blackwell, and Susan Zirkle (Donnie); her son Kevin Rollison; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010, at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE; Pastor David Munro will be officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening, Oct. 14, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Legion Post #28, Wounded Warriors Fund, 31768 Legion Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
