Shirley Ann Pepper's Obituary
Shirley Rogers Pepper, age 84 of Georgetown, DE passed away peacefully at her home on March 24, 2020. She was born on November 15, 1935 in Gumboro, DE, daughter of the late Merrill and Sally Rogers.
Shirley worked as an interior decorator and in retail until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing and working in her gardens. Shirley also enjoyed dinners with her family and luncheons with her friends. Her smile and words of wisdom will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Pepper; and her sons: Robert James Pepper and Keith Allen Pepper. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen Pepper (Joe Holson); her son, Darryl Pepper (Kathie); her granddaughter, Shana Pepper Chapman (Neil); her great-granddaughters: Kirsten Thibeault and Thalia Pepper; her brothers: Richard Rogers (Doris), Jack Rogers (Marie), and Merrill Rogers (Gayle); her sisters: Donnie Mumford (Kenny), Sharon Foraker (Don), Sally Ann Rickards (Lee), and Nancy Rogers; and her extended family: Nicole Briddell, Brandon Bennett, and Anthony Shockley.
Due to state and national health restrictions associated with COVID-19, the family will have a private burial for Shirley at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Shirley’s memory to a charity of your choice.
