Sarah L. Liccardi's Obituary
Sarah L. Liccardi, age 74, of Milton, DE passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Beebe Medical Center. She was born in Mahoning, PA on February 19, 1939, daughter of the late Earl and Genevieve (Britt) Fetterman.
Mrs. Liccardi resided with her husband of 33 years, Carmine, in Middlesex, NJ. After working with Acme Markets for 25 years, she retired to the beach in 2005. Mrs. Liccardi was an active member of Henlopen Senior Center and St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewes. She regularly attended Mass every Saturday at 4:00pm. Mrs. Liccardi loved exploring and traveling to different places, especially to Aruba. She was an avid beach goer who also enjoyed working with ceramics, crafting and having fun with family and friends. Mrs. Liccardi was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt whose love will be missed by so many.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Liccardi is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Volanoski of Roosevelt, NJ; her brother, Terrance Fetterman and his wife Elaine of Bangor, PA; her granddaughter, Patricia Carman of Altoona, PA; two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Kenneth Westover of Altoona, PA; her nephew, Jeff Fetterman and his wife Janilyn of Selbyville, DE; two nieces, Lisa Kirschner and her husband Dan of Stroudsburg, PA and Adine Cumberland and her husband John of Fallston, MD; and her beloved pet Morkey, Lacie Lou. Mrs. Liccardi was preceded in death by her son Duane Volanski (1975).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. .
