Sara Iola White's Obituary
Sara Iola White of Lewes, DE passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness. She was the prettiest girl in Macedonia, Iowa, born Wednesday, November 25, 1936 to the late James C. and Hazel M. (Hester) Wilkinson.
Ms. White enjoyed a long time career as a Field Specialist with the Census Bureau in both MD and DE, as it gave her the opportunity to be paid to hear gossip. As a young woman she was a star basketball player, averaging 30 points per game during her all star season. Her greatest joy in life was spoiling her great-grandchildren with home baked cookies.
In addition to her parents, Ms. White was preceded in death by her two beloved sons Jay and Robert Brandt; a brother, James and her sister, Lena. She is survived by her daughter, Jacki Lee Brandt; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Brandt, Bria and Spencer Sinnott, Shane Murphy and Tim Murphy; 2 great-grandchildren, Presley Ann and Owen Sinnott; a sister, Marge Frank and her devoted friend, Charles Carmondy.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 27, 2015 at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, Lewes, DE where friends may call beginning at 10 AM. Interment will 1 PM Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Lutherville-Timonium, MD.
