Sandra E. Sharkey's Obituary
Sandra Sharkey, age 80, of Lewes, Delaware passed away suddenly on August 1, 2024. Born in Wilmington, DE on September 3, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Maryann and James Sharkey.
Sandy graduated from St. Elizabeth High School and received her Associate Degree from Widener University. Sandy met her husband, Stanley, in the early 80's and moved to Lewes. She was a volunteer at the Children's Beach House and the Lewes Historical Society.
Sandy was an avid Philadelphia Sports Fan and enjoyed watching tennis. She was a member of the Early Bird Bowling League. Sandy loved holidays and spending time with her large family. She was a loving and devoted sister, aunt and friend. She never missed a birthday and was extremely generous to her nieces and nephews.
Sandy is predeceased by her spouse, Stanley Noronowicz. Sandy is survived by her three sisters: MaryAnn Peart (Larry), Loretta Sharkey (Dave), Sally Farr (Bob); two brothers: James Sharkey (Mary Ellen) and Thomas Sharkey (Connie); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family is forever grateful for her Bay Breeze friends, Carol, Linda, and Yvonne, for their support and love.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20th, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM.
