Sandra Maria Dean's Obituary
Sandra Maria Dean, age 75 of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Deceased's Residence, in Rehoboth Beach, DE. She was born Wednesday, November 17, 1943 in Washington, DC, daughter of the late Neil John Bigley, Sr. and Margaret Marie (Sayre) Bigley.
After many years of government service for the USDA, Mrs. Dean retired as travel coordinator for the National Gallery of Art. She was a Brentwood majorette of her home town in Brentwood, MD. Sandy, always quick with her wit made friends anywhere. She loved laughing as well as making people laugh. Sandy loved her family, friends, and her dogs, Coach and Kaci.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Howard Robert Dean and a brother, Timothy Bigley. She is survived by one son, Brian David Dean and his wife Pam of Laurel, MD; one daughter, Michelle Stevens and her husband Michael of Chester River Beach, Kent Island, MD; two grandsons: Quinn and Liam Dean; one granddaughter, Kayleigh Stevens; three brothers: Neil J. Bigley, Jr. of Denver, CO, Michael J. Bigley and his wife Linda of Deal Island, MD, and Patrick S. Bigley and his wife Linda of Deale, MD; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
