Sandra L. Gallo's Obituary
Sandra L. Gallo, age 82, of Mays Landing, NJ, formerly of Lewes, DE, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, in Pomona, NJ. She was born on April 16, 1936 in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Perry R. and Lottie E. (Goodall) Laird.
Mrs. Gallo moved to Lewes in 1972 where she resided for 20 years. She was a faithful member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. In 1992, Mrs. Gallo relocated to Mays Landing, NJ to be closer to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister to 10 siblings, and friend who will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gallo was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Francis Gallo and her grandson, Frank DeFeo. She is survived by her son, Lawrence Gallo of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; her daughter, Karen M. DeFeo and her husband Richard of Mays Landing, NJ; and her grandchildren, Anthony DeFeo and Jackee DeFeo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may call beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow Mass at Henlopen Memorial Park in Milton, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Gallo's name to the Overfalls Maritime Museum Foundation, P.O. Box 413, Lewes, DE 19958.
