Salvatore Robert Cascone's Obituary
Salvatore Robert Cascone, 72, of Millsboro, DE, peacefully passed away at home on September 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on December 3, 1951, to John and Rose Cascone (Conti), Sal lived in Brooklyn until the age of 25 before relocating to New Jersey, where he spent the majority of his life. In retirement, he settled in Delaware.
Sal is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Carol A. Cascone (Bronkowski); his daughter Denise Newell (Cascone) and her husband Ryan Newell, along with their children Braden and Macey Newell; and his son Christopher John Cascone and his wife Heather Cascone (Parrish), along with their children Logan and Sydney Cascone.
After graduating high school, Sal embarked on a distinguished career with Prudential Securities in New York, ultimately rising to the position of Senior Vice President. Following 30 successful years in finance, he transitioned to real estate, a field in which he continued to excel after moving to Delaware. Upon retirement, Sal remained active as the general manager at Touch of Italy in Rehoboth, DE.
Sal was a deeply devoted family man who cherished his time with his children and grandchildren and held a profound love for his wife Carol. Outside of family time, he enjoyed golfing, playing cards, biking, attending sports events, and visiting casinos. A cancer survivor, Sal faced his illness with courage and resilience, never wavering in his commitment to his family. His final moments were surrounded by those who loved him dearly.
