I will always remember "Mrs. Watton" as a beautifully gracious woman. She had a wonderful and contagious smile and loved welcoming and hosting people in her home. I first met her when they moved 3 doors down from our house in Michigan and I was in school with her son Ric. We would play at the house, running up and down the front and back stairsways and she seemed To love the sound of giggles and laughter in the house. When the family lab, Cindy, had puppies I remember Spending hours over there in the basement watching and playing with the puppies. Never did she make us (the other neighborhood kids and myself) feel like we were intruding or disruptive--although we certainly must have been. I remember the first snow parties--or at least I remember my parents attending--and what a fun and new tradition she started. And I remember visiting she and Mr Watton years later after they'd moved to Lewes. I popped in on very short notice while I was in town visiting relatives and she was once again the wonderful and beautiful hostess that I had always remembered--giving me the tour of the house and showing me Mr Wattons new tomato gardens out back and proudly showing
Me pictures of her children and grand children. Her spirit and beauty and graciousness will be missed but I am certain that her legacy will span generations.
I will keep all of the Wattons and extended family in my thoughts and prayers. May your memories be everlasting and carry you through the difficult times.
Peace be with you...
