Sally J. Brown's Obituary
Sally Joyce Brown, age 79, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. She was born on Sunday, February 23, 1936 in Jamison, PA, daughter of the late Harold and Cora Bell (Sterling) Ross.
Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Uniontown High School in Uniontown, PA. She embarked on a lengthy career as a key punch operator for Arbitron – Nielsen until her retirement in 1991. Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening and producing beautiful flowers for all to enjoy. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the American Legion Post #17 in Lewes, DE. Mrs. Brown was a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Alfred O. Brown, of Rehoboth Beach, DE; two brothers, Harold Ross, Jr. of Manchester, CT and David Ross of Uniontown, PA; one brother-in-law, Hugh Brown of Monrovia, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 1 PM. Interment will be private at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
