Ruth Spicer's Obituary
Ruth Rust Spicer, age 92, of Seaford, Delaware, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at Lofland Life Care in Seaford. She was born Septermber 17, 1914 in Bridgeville, DE, daughter of the late Luther and Blanche (Truitt) Rust.
Mrs. Spicer had been employed by the DuPont Company for over 30 years retiring as a quality control analyst. She was active with the 4-H Club. Mrs. Spicer graduated from Bridgeville High School where she was Captain of the basketball team.
She is survived by her sister Irene Tucker of Greenwood, DE; her niece Debbie R. Malliarakis of Newport News, VA; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Thomas Spicer (1979).
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 11, 2 P.M., at Parsell Fuenral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at Bridgeville Cemetery. The Rev. Dale Brown will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Union United Methodist Church, Laws & Market Streets, Bridgeville, DE 19933.
