Ruth Ann Mulligan's Obituary
Ruth Ann Mulligan, age 62, of Millsboro, DE passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. She was born in Cincinnati, OH, daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Ruth Ann (Scheidt) Tucker.
Ruth Ann loved sewing, quilting and scrapbooking and sharing her many talents with family and friends. She was known for her kind heart and amazing smile. She was an avid animal lover who also enjoyed collecting various things such as Cat's Meow's, lovely bowls, lighthouses and Angels. Ruth Ann loved the holidays, especially Christmas, where she would bake, cook, sew and quilt beautiful gifts for her family and friends. At this time of year she was known best for the Christmas Eve parties she would throw. Ruth Ann worked for BurroughsCorporation and in Food Services for the Cape Henlopen School District.
In addition to her parents, Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her husband, David F. Mulligan. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Mulligan of Millsboro, DE, two step-daughters, Susanne Leigh Mulligan of Waxhaw, NC and Sharon Lynn LaFontant of Durham, NC, her granddaughter, Katharine Elizabeth Mulligan also of Waxhaw, NC, two brothers, Robert Joseph Tucker of Paoli, PA, Thomas A. Tucker of Downingtown, PA and a sister, Laura Marie Natalie of Malvern, PA, one brother in-law, George Mulligan of FL, her niece, Nicole Marie Natalie and her nephew, Brandon Michael Natalie.
Pastor Mike Hurley will lead a Church Service and Interment which was held at 12 PM, Saturday, Janauary 10, 2015 at Conley's United Methodist Chapel, 22150 Robinsonville Road, Lewes, DE 19958. A memorial reception followed at Conley's United Methodist Church, 33106 Joylyn's Way, Lewes, DE 19958.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, 22918 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947.
