Rosemarie Rockwell's Obituary
Rosemarie Barbara Rockwell, age 78 of Georgetown, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at, Harrison Senior Living. She was born in Lancaster, PA on August 8, 1941, daughter of the late Harold and Gertrude (Lauber) Hurst.
Mrs. Rockwell was a talented artist in all forms. She was skilled at drawing, playing piano, singing, set design, and acted in many community plays at both Statesville Little Theater in Statesville, NC and Milford Second Street Players in Milford, DE. She was a lover of all animals and owned a rabbit and many cats and dogs over the years. Mrs. Rockwell adored children and had a daycare in her home. She was raised an Evangelical Lutheran in Pennsylvania and occasionally attended the Church of the Nazarene in Milford, with her best friend, Mary Roberts. Above all, Mrs. Rockwell was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Rockwell is survived by her husband of 35 years, Larry Eugene Rockwell, Sr.; her son, Kent Snavely (Alicia) of Chapel Hill, NC; her daughters: Suzanne Lackey Passwaters (Dennis) of Lincoln, DE and Robin Smith (John Reardon) of Chapel Hill, NC; her grandchildren: Ian Passwaters and Shelby Passwaters, both of Lincoln, DE; her great-granddaughter, Renessmae Vass of Lincoln, DE; her sister, Joan (Hurst) Paterson of Lancaster, PA; her step-children: Larry Rockwell, Jr., Keith Rockwell, Gary Rockwell, Robin Rockwell, and Carrie Rockwell; her nephew, Kevin Paterson of Neffsville, PA; and her niece, Cindy Paterson Witmer of Lancaster, PA.
Services will be private.
