Roseen B. Haenn's Obituary
Roseen B. Haenn, age 65, of Milton, DE passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at the Delaware Hospice Center, in Milford, DE. She was born Wednesday, August 31, 1949 in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Doherty) Kealey.
Mrs. Haenn enjoyed a lifelong career as an Accounting Technician for the US Army at Fort Knox, KY and then for AT&T Government Solutions, where she retired in 2007. She was devoted to her Cancer Support Group at the Tunnell Cancer Center in Rehoboth Beach. Mrs. Haenn also enjoyed participating with the Milton Century Club and her church, St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewes.
Whenever she had some leisure time, Mrs. Haenn enjoyed Sudoku and working crossword puzzles. She loved traveling, especially to her beloved Ireland and was very proud of her Irish heritage. Mrs. Haenn also enjoyed long walks on the beach and the peacefulness of the rolling waves. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haenn was preceded in death by an infant brother, Oliver. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, George J. Haenn of Milton, DE; one son, George Haenn of Boston, MA; one daughter, Cori Surbaugh and her husband Edward of Lexington, KY; a granddaughter, Margaret Haenn; four brothers, Michael Kealey and his wife Cookie; Christopher Kealey and his wife Debbie; Patrick Kealey and his wife Mary Jane and Mark Kealey and his wife Emme; two sisters, Sally Vink and her husband Jake and Joan Mela and her husband Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 04, 2015, at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE where friends may call beginning at 10 AM. Interment will follow the services at 1:00 PM at the Delaware Veteran Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
