Rose Marie Imhof's Obituary
Rose Marie Imhof, age 56, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE following a long battle with cancer. She was born in Bradford, PA on December 28, 1958, daughter of Bonnie DeMar and the late Herbert Bolles.
Rose grew up in Perryville, MD and graduated from Perryville High School in 1976. She furthered her education attending Delaware Technical and Community College and Wilmington University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing Leadership. Rose received numerous awards and honors for her outstanding achievements and dedication. She worked for several agencies, including Perryville Veterans Hospital, Visiting Nurses Association and most recently with the Division of Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities for the State of Delaware. Rose held many titles, including Nurse Supervisor, Case Manager and Visiting Nurse. She also taught in the Nursing department at Wilmington University and Sussex Tech Adult Education.
Rose was a member of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, holding several previous positions, including Secretary and Vice President. She was also Secretary and Treasurer of the Delaware Two Red Knights Motorcycle Club where she was a charter member and who was an integral part of building the chapter. Most importantly, Rose was a caring, generous person that was loved by all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time and playing with her grandchildren. Rose always put God first in her life and never doubted God’s plan for her future.
In addition to her mother Rose is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jesse Imhof and her four children: Mark Throm and his wife Kristen, Erich Throm and his wife Melissa, Blake Field, Sherry McIntire and fiancé Greg; eight grandchildren: Addison, Grayson, Karen, Katherine, Anna, Jasmine, Jenna and Asher; four sisters, Bonnie Beaulieu, Penny Hasson and her husband Buzz, Kathy Bolles, and Val Bolles; two brothers, Ryan Bolles and Frank Bolles and his wife Mary. Rose also leaves behind many other close friends and family including nine nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11 AM at St. John's Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford, DE 19963. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11 AM at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, DE 19947. Entombment will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963, where the staff was a blessing in the final weeks of her life.
