Rose M. Chabon's Obituary
Rose Marie Chabon, age 81 of Ocean View, DE, passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. She was born onTuesday, September 10, 1929 in Shenandoah, PA and was the daughter of the late Michael and Antoinette (Melewski) Malinowski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony and Stanley and two sisters, Dorothy and Helen.
A resident of Ocean View for the past 13 years, she was formerly of Chester, PA where she worked as a Secretary for Ship & Shore in Upland, PA. She was a member of St Ann's Catholic Church and attended their charismatic meetings; she loved going to the beach and cooking and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Peter Chabon of Ocean View, four daughters: Faith Marie Hope and husband Ron of Newark, DE, Debra Dotterer and husband Dale of Gilbertsville, PA, Joyce Heine and husband Paul of Boothwyn, PA, and Karen Neill and husband James of Collingdale, PA; and four grandchildren: Ryan Dotterer of Pittsfield, MA, Amber Dotterer of Gilbertsville, PA, Nicholas Heine and Jake Heine, both of Boothwyn, PA.
The family would like to say a special thank you for the support and care given to Rose by Compassionate Care Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE 19930 where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the Mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro.
