Rose Ann Reed's Obituary
Rose Ann Reed, age 76 of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at her home. She was born on Thursday, May 21, 1942 in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Thomas J. Reed and Sally J. Reed.
She was a proud graduate of Conrad High School and proudly represented the State of Delaware in the 1960 Miss Universe Pageant. She worked for many years as a Loan Officer and Bank Manager at Suburban Bank, Annapolis, MD. In later years, she worked as an interior designer for C & E Furniture. In her free time, Rose Ann could often be found decorating or shopping in search of just the right piece. Once that was in order, she loved to entertain friends. She also enjoyed traveling, dancing, Elvis, and a trip to the slots. Rose Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, aunt, cousin and dear friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Rose Ann is survived by her loving husband, Matthew "Skip" Spinella; her daughter, Karyn Lyn Keay-Otte and her husband, Patrick of Akron, OH; and her favorite uncle Winvert Jarrell, and numerous step-children, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow services at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, 6486 Bay Road, Frederica, DE.
Memorial contributions may be made in Rose Ann Reed’s name to the Tunnell Cancer Center, Special Needs Fund, c/o Beebe Medical Foundation, 902 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
