Rosalie Kefauver's Obituary
Rosalie Kefauver of Bridgeville, DE went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, with her family by her bedside in her home.
Rosalie was born in Cambridge, MD on December 30, 1924, daughter of the late Howard and Maggie (Harding) Short. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 62, Delaware Grange, Atlanta Homemakers, Bridgeville Ladies Auxiliary and The Flower - Garden Association. She was a homemaker who worked on the family chicken farm and for Greenwood Senior Center for 17 years.
She is survived by her children: daughter Sandy Smith and son David Kefauver both of Bridgeville; grandchildren: Philip Lord,Jr,, Darlene McDonald, both of Bridgeville, Jessica Kefauver of Palm Coast, FL and Heather Collins of Federalsburg, MD; three great-grandchildren; and a twin sister Dorothy Lee Windsor of Cambridge, MD.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Nelson M. Kefauver, a son Nelson H. Kefauver, a grandson Duke Lord, six brothers and seven sisters.
Funeral services with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in Bridgeville Cemetery.
