Rosalie Hill's Obituary
Rosalie E. (Brohawn) Hill, age 91, of Lewes, DE, died Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at her granddaughter's home in Millsboro, DE. Mrs. Hill was born in Cambridge, Maryland, daughter of the late Leroy, Sr. and Minnie Belle (Willey) Brohawn. She had formerly lived in New Castle, DE, and moved to Sussex County 30 years ago. She was a homemaker all of her life and was a wonderful Mother. Mrs. Hill's life was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Midway Assembly of God Church, Lewes, DE.
Mrs. Hill is survived by a daughter-Betsy (Hill) Bailey of Lewes, DE; Son-in-Law-Edward W. Lynam, Jr. of Clarksville, DE; a Brother, Harold Brohawn of Rehoboth Beach, DE; a granddaughter Ashley Crispin of Lewes, DE; three great grandchildren: Corrine Crispin & Gabe and Cameron Bailey, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Edgar Layton Hill, in April 2004, to whom she had been married 72 years; a daughter Patricia Ann (Hill) Lynam in November 2005; 2 sisters: Dorothy Naylor and Mildred Harrison, and 2 brothers: Wallace Brohawn, Sr, and Leroy Brohawn, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 16, 2007 with Pastor Gary Ross officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Chapter, 2306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805 or to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
