Ronni Lynne Jacob's Obituary
Ronni Lynne Jacob, 53, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Delaware, after a long and courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy.
Born on February 13, 1973, in Flushing, New York, Ronni was the beloved daughter of Henry "Hank" Jacob and the late Laura Jacob.
Ronni earned an Associate's Degree in Childhood Development and dedicated much of her life to caring for children as a daycare provider. She found great joy in helping young minds learn and grow until her health challenges eventually led to her retirement.
Ronni lived life with determination, enthusiasm, and a competitive spirit. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, swimming, diving, bike riding, and watching her favorite game shows. She was especially proud of her involvement with Special Olympics, where she participated in swimming and bowling competitions and earned numerous medals throughout the years. Her accomplishments reflected not only her athletic abilities but also her perseverance and strength.
Ronni is survived by her father, Henry "Hank" Jacob of Millsboro, Delaware; her brother, Neal Jacob and his wife, Caren, of Winchester, Virginia; her nieces, Charis Patrick and her husband, Noah Patrick, of Broadway, Virginia, and Ariel Jacob of Harrisonburg, Virginia; and her nephew, Nathanael Jacob of Bad Axe, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Jacob of Millsboro, Delaware.
Ronni will be remembered for her resilience, kindness, sense of humor, and the joy she brought to those who knew and loved her. Her strength in the face of adversity was an inspiration to family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life service is currently being planned and will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics Delaware, 619 South College Avenue, Newark, Delaware 19716, in honor of Ronni's lifelong love of sports and competition.
Ronni's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
