I can remember Ron (or cousin Ronnie as I knew him) mostly when I was a little girl. Ronnie and his brother Bobby were fun companions for my mother Charlotte and her sister Patty. They had lots of fun playing together. Mom would tell stories about them. Ronny’s mother Kate (Aunt Kate as I knew her) was very close friends with my grandma Sophie. I loved to go around with grandma visiting and I loved Aunt Kate. Ronnie’s dad, Joe, was the funny guy always making a joke, so I figure that’s where Ronnie got his keen sense of humor. Joe was grandma Sophie’s brother. After Kate died, Joe was so sad and lonely. I remember telling my mom Charlotte that we should have uncle Joe over for the holidays, so he won’t be sad. He joined us.
I remember Ronnie’s first wife, the ever so beautiful Jaime. I remember thinking she was the prettiest woman I had ever seen. And she was very sweet too with a wonderful warm smile. Both of their children, Rick and Kim were as beautiful as she was, and I hope they are as funny as Ronnie. Sadly, I don’t remember them and I hope someday I will come to know them.
I will always remember Ronnie with a big smile on his face.
Sending love and my condolences to his brother Bobby and to his children, Rick and Kim and to Jaime and Jan. I don’t remember meeting Jan. I’m grateful Cousin Ronnie found a woman to love for the rest of his life.
