Robert A. Yarnall's Obituary
Robert “Bobby” Yarnall, 83, of Delaware, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026. Born on January 13, 1943, in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Bobby lived a life centered around hard work, family, friendship, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
Bobby attended Rehoboth High School, Bobby spent many years working with the Delaware Pilots Association as a respected launch operator. He was also the proud owner and operator of Bob Yarnall Painting, where he built a reputation for dedication and craftsmanship throughout the community.
Bobby was an active member of the Lewes Lions Club and the Lewes Elks Lodge. An avid golfer, he enjoyed many years as a member of Shawnee Country Club. He also loved fishing under the Freeman Bridge with his cousin, Herschel Porter, creating memories he cherished deeply.
Above all else, Bobby loved his family. He especially enjoyed traveling to watch and support his granddaughters in their softball careers, proudly cheering them on as their biggest fan. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them.
Bobby found happiness in life’s simple pleasures — sunbathing with a cold Miller Lite, watching old western movies, especially Gunsmoke, and spending time with his beloved dogs, particularly his cherished dachshund, Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. Yarnall (1959) and Helen H. Yarnall (1962); his son, Robert Keith Yarnall (1973); and his daughter, Robin L. Yarnall (2026).
He is survived by his loving wife, Anne Yarnall; his daughter, Lori Yarnall Hudson (Monroe); his sister, Beverly Yarnall Cunningham (Mike); his granddaughters, Alyssa McLaughlin (Nick) and Rachel Walsh (Hunter); his great-grandchildren, Emma and Noah McLaughlin; and numerous extended family members and friends.
The family would also like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Bobby’s devoted caregivers from Bayada — Marie, Hawa, Vivian, Mirline, Montoya, Natorya, and Anahi — whose compassion and care meant so much to him and his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobby’s memory to the Children's Beach House, https://www.cbhinc.org/donate.
