Robert L. Weaver's Obituary
Robert L. Weaver, Jr., age 57, of Lincoln, DE, passed away Friday, September 8, 2006 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 4, 1948 in Lewes, DE, son of the late Barbara (Cooper) Bertrand and Robert L. Weaver, Sr. of Oreana. IL.
Mr. Weaver loved and touched the lives and hearts of everyone he knew. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. His greatest love was his wife and family. He was a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School and attended two year of college. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He will be missed and never forgotten by all.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Alice M. (Teubner) Weaver;
two sons, Robert L. Weaver III of Decatur, IL and Justin Weaver of Mt. Zion, IL; one daughter, Robin Miller of Dover, DE; one step-son, Jeffrey S. McBee of Milford, DE; three step-daughters, Georgia M. Ledesma and her husband Carlos of Decatur, IL , Lisa J. McConnell of Milton, DE and Judith L. Hedges of Lincoln, DE; seven grandchildren, Nicole McBee, Christopher Lake, Antonio Ledesma, Alex Ledesma, Clint Hedges, Erin Hedges, and Kyle Dennis; two great-grandchildren, Jason C. Crum II and Cody Robert Crum; two sisters, Barbara Lou Landon of Milton, DE and Ruthie Gray of Dover, DE; and two brothers, Jay Reibsome of Greenwood, DE and Skip Bertrand of Milford, DE.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter Natasha Weaver and his grandson, Brandon Weaver.
The family of Robert L. Weaver, Jr. would like to thank all the friends and family and Hospice of Delaware staff, especially Cheryl, Lynn, Bonnie and Heather for all their support during his illness and passing.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 15, 10 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkinis-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE; Rev. Russell Kessler, will be officiating.
