Robert Cove Sullivan's Obituary
Robert Cove Sullivan, Jr. age 68, of Lewes, DE, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born February 18, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Robert Cove Sullivan, Sr. and Alexine (McArdle) Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan had worked as a toxicologist for GlaxoSmithKline retiring in 1995 after 35 years of service. With retirement came a move to Delaware as he loved the beach and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Elizabeth (Travis) Sullivan; a daughter, Elizabeth Sullivan Tomlinson and her husband Douglas Paul Tomlinson of Breckenridge, CO; a son, Robert Cove Sullivan III and his wife Kathleen McCauley Sullivan of Havertown, PA; five grandchildren, Kate, Brooke, Anna, Cove and Mary Kate; three sisters, Alexine Weaver of Lansdale, PA, Barbara McNamara of Lewes, and Suzanne O'Brien of El Centro, CA; and a brother, Stanley Sullivan of Aston, PA.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 21, 11:00 AM, at St. Jude The Apostle Church, DE Route 1 north of Five Points, Lewes. Friends may call at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice.
