ROBERT E. SCHMAND, 70
LEWES – Robert E. Schmand of Lewes, DE, formerly of River Edge, NJ, age 70, died May 25, 2010 at home.
Bob proudly served in the United States Navy from 1959-1963 aboard the USS Enterprise, CN65 and then served three years in the Naval Reserves. He later served as President of the North Jersey Chapter of the Navy League.
Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary; daughters Christine Watson and her husband Jeff; Kathleen Budenbender and her husband Bret; and grandchildren Mike & Allie Watson and Ella and Jake Budenbender.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11am on June 12, 2010, at St. Patrick’s Church, 41 Oliver Street in Chatham, NJ. A reception will immediately follow.
