Robert John Rogan Sr.'s Obituary
Robert John Rogan Sr., 62, passed away in Millsboro, Delaware on November 10, 2024. Known as “Bobby” to those who knew and loved him, he was born in Newark, New Jersey on March 6, 1962, as one of nine children to the late Donald and Catherine.
Bobby had a charismatic personality with a quick wit and great sense of humor sprinkled with a bit of sarcasm, especially when it came to his New York Mets fandom. He also had an appreciation for music and particularly enjoyed listening to his favorite Elvis Presley, classic rock, Motown, and doo-wop songs.
Bobby loved to work with his hands and had a knack for fixing things. His favorite jobs over the years involved those where he was able to put those skills to use repairing manufacturing equipment and as the maintenance lead for a New Jersey school for troubled youth.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Gail, and his brothers Mark and Brian. He is survived by his son Robert (Tiffany) and their son William; his son Sean (Ashley) and their children Alanna and Sean; his longtime partner Rhonda Schuler, her daughter Stacey, and Stacey’s daughters Natalie and Allison; his former wife and mother of his children, Mary; his brothers Lee, Jarrod, and Donald; his sisters Kathleen and Dawn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends whom he loved and who loved him very much.
A Memorial service will be held on January 19, 2025 at 4:00 PM at St. Lucy's Church 118 7th Ave. Newark, NJ 07104.
