Robert Thomas Robinson Jr.'s Obituary
Robert Thomas "Tee" Robinson, Jr. of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Friday, August 27, at Beebe Hospital, in Lewes, DE. He was born in Wilmington, DE in 1942, son of the late Robert Thomas and Jean (Farrow) Robinson.
Tee was a graduate of Claymont High School, Class of 1961. He joined the U. S. Air Force in 1962, served in Okinawa in the Air Military Police, and at Nellis Air Force Base before his honorable discharge in 1966. Upon his return to Delaware, he was employed by Transcar Co., where he started his career of inspecting railway tank cars. He started his own inspection company and worked with PPG sites in Lynchburg, VA, and Dubois, PA for 33 years.
Tee was a lifelong resident of Delaware, living in various homes in New Castle County, until his retirement to Millsboro. He was an avid fan of the NY/LA Dodgers, Philadelphia Flyers, and enjoyed many other sports. Tee played ice hockey and coached a youth team and an adult team. In retirement, he bowled in two different leagues.
Tee's other great enjoyment was his participation in groups such as The Brandywiners, Ltd., starting in 1967 and The Lyceum Players, at Brecks Mill in Wilmington and Longwood Gardens in PA.
He loved reading, gardening, and animals, especially his many cats, Big Band music and dancing with his wife. He was always helpful to others, a kind and loving man. Above all, Tee cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a wonderful husband, son, brother, stepfather, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Tee was predeceased by his stepson, Robert Aloysius Kovac, and his in-laws, Robert and June Monson. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Monson Robinson; his grandson, Robin Aloysious Kovac; his siblings: Barbara Lynne Schurga, April Leigh Willenborg (his twin), and Lisa M.Robinson; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held privately at Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing protocols must be observed and masks must be worn by everyone participating in any aspect of the service.
